National Institute on Aging
NIA leads the federal government in conducting and supporting research on aging and the health and well-being of older people. The Institute seeks to understand the nature of aging and the aging process, and diseases and conditions associated with growing older, in order to extend the healthy, active years of life.

Area Specific Resources
Being a caregiver can be an isolating and even depressing experience... But there's help with the PEARLS program.
If you’re a caregiver age 60 or older who has been feeling depressed, isolated, frustrated or lonely, the Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives, known as PEARLS, can help. The program offers six to eight one-on-one in-home coaching sessions to help care- givers reduce mild to moderate depression and build healthier, happier, more active lives.

Senior citizens grew up in a time where you could take a person at his or her word...
Times have unfortunately changed. Now, the scammers have caught on to the senior’s trusting nature, and they prey on this.

"Scammers will always tell you they are a company, person, or entity and that the issue they are having is related to you. For example, “this is your bank calling to notify you that we noticed some potentially fraudulent activity on your account…” That is all we need to safely verify the accusation. DO NOT reply to that email or phone call. End the conversation and follow these tips below..."
